Indalex Aluminum Solutions Group will spend $15 million to expand its aluminum extrusion plant in Gainesville, doubling its capacity while adding 60 new jobs to its base of 300 employees. Indalex, which serves the market for aluminum hurricane shutters, will begin hiring during the first quarter of 2001. The expansion will increase plant space by 75,000 square feet. The expansion of the Gainesville plant is part of a larger, $42 million expansion by Indalex that includes two other aluminum extrusion facilities in Indiana and Canada.
