Assurant Group Chooses Lawton
Lawton has been selected as the site for a new customer service center that a specialty insurance company will build. Assurant Group will build a new 36,000 square foot center that will employ 350 people. Assurant Group is a provider of life and health insurance, and property and casualty insurance.
BizJet International Expanding in Tulsa
BizJet International, a 14-year-old Tulsa company, will double its 300-member workforce within three years. Earlier this year the company was bought by Lufthansa Technik AG, the aircraft maintenance division of Lufthansa German Airlines. The company provides maintenance for business jets.
ARINC Expanding its Oklahoma City Operations
ARINC, an engineering company that primarily works on contracts with the Defense Department and other government agencies, will add 200 jobs to its Oklahoma City operations. The company currently employs 200 people in the area.
Oklahoma City Gains Factory
Powder River, based in Provo, Utah, will establish operations in Oklahoma City. The company, which manufactures steel livestock handling equipment, will establish a factory that will employ 100 people within three years.
