Molex
Incorporated to Locate Manufacturing Operation in Camden
Molex
Incorporated, a global electronics components company, will
open a production facility in Camden to support Molex's
High Performance Cable Assembly business. Molex is a 62-year-old
global manufacturer of electronic, electrical and fiber
optic interconnection products and systems; switches; system
sales assemblies; and application tooling. Based in Lisle,
Illinois, the company operates 52 manufacturing facilites
in 19 countries and employs 17,650 people. The Camden facility
will employ 200 people at a leased 15,000 square foot facility.
The company will expand this facility to 40,000 square feet.
Lockheed
Martin to Bring 200 Jobs to Camden
Lockheed
Martin's Camden, Ark., facility is expanding by 40,000 square
feet and adding 200 employees. The Camden plant performs
final assembly, test and storage of missiles and produces
Multiple Launch Rocket System launchers for the U.S. Army.
The expanded facility will include automated production
and assembly equipment. Salaries for the new jobs will be
in the $45,000 to $50,000 range.

Ground Moving to North Little Rock Business Park
FedEx
Ground expects to open a new 56,000-square-foot terminal
in North Little Rock's Central Arkansas Business Park. The
new terminal is expected to employee up to 200 new employees.
Alltel
Adds 40 to Payroll
Little
Rock-based Alltel said in March it would add about 40 employees
to its call center there. A company spokesperson said the
40 new hires would bring employment to 450 at the call center.
