GKN
to Create 300 Jobs in St Louis
Following
The Boeing Company's sale in October of its fabrication
business to GKN Aerospace, the company will locate its North
American aerospace operations headquarters to St. Louis.
GKN will create 300 jobs there within the next two years.
GKN, which is headquartered in the United Kingdom, is a
global industrial company which designs, manufactures and
distributes components for the automotive, aerospace and
industrial services sectors.
Wal-Mart
to Build Distribution Facility in St. James
Wal-Mart
Stores East, Missouri's largest employer, will construct
a distribution facility in St. James. Wal-Mart will develop
a 200-acre site, investing several million dollars and create
at least 300 jobs within two years, with higher employment
projects estimated at 600 new jobs.
Washington
to Gain Rawlings Distribution Center
Rawlings
Sporting Goods will distribute its products from Washington,
Mo. Rawlings has leased the former 450,000-square-foot Edison
Brothers distribution complex. The company will hire 125
people. The complex will be used primarily for distribution,
but Rawlings will also house some equipment and have limited
production capacity. Fenton, Missouri-based Rawlings manufactures
sports equipment and apparel.
